Here is a video of today's dryfire training. One thing that I noticed over yesterday was when I am closer to the table I really don't need a great flash picture of the mag on the table. I can see enough of the mag in my peripheral vision to get away with it. All I have to do is look do is maybe focus on it for a micro second. If I was standing at the table I can't do it. I have to actually look at the mag. The second clip I had terrible hand position on the mag thus a blown reload. The third I thought was smooth.
Another thing that I noticed was you really didn't need to have a super crisp sight picture for this drill. This is a fast drill and I lose the most time just picking the gun up. Man I really suck at that. I'll need to do alot of work to be competitive in that area. Good thing was today I didn't drop the mag once at the start.
One last observation. I can see that I am having an issue with following thru on the last shot. I bring the gun down too quickly after finishing. I don't know where that came from but now I am aware of it I will see that it gets fixed.

Hold your own in speed shoots but get beat by fitter, less-experienced shooters in field courses? The USPSA Conditioning Program is geared to increase your explosiveness for those fast and aggressive stages, conditioning for the long hot days of major matches, and overall strength to better control your firearm.
If you live in the Mid-Michigan area and are interested in improving your athletic capacity, please e-mail me to schedule your intro session. Your first week is free! Try it with no obligations.
Regardless of where you are starting from, we will set realistic and attainable goals and work hard to get you there.
The Goal
The purpose behind these drills are to push your abilities in an unconventional manner. Many of these par times may seem fast to you. The reason for that is I want you pushing for speed. Don't confuse that with not aiming. I want you to push the envelop when it comes to handgun manipulation, but still have the goal of shooting alphas.
If you aren't going fast enough to where you are seeing form faults from the intensity then you aren't getting the full benefit of this program.
Push it just past your comfort zone to where you only might be calling 50 - 75% of your shots. If you do that consistently, your shooting ability will sky rocket.
My name is Jake Di Vita. I have been active in the shooting world for many years, starting with IDPA and later branching off into USPSA/IPSC and a little 3-gun. Production is the division I got started in with a Beretta Elite II. After competing for several years I got into Open and have loved it ever since. I have a passion for working with shooters to improve their capacity.
